FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
The world has changed inordinately since Lord Mahavira Academy welcomed its first students in 1974, but its mission to provide ethical and quality based education to its students in order to create globally competent yet ‘salt of the earth’ citizens continues to be paramount.
Our society is the result of hard work of Late Guru Shri. Jai Chandra Prasad Ji (Bhagat ji), samaritan and visionary extraordinaire. His vision was to create, men and women of character, dedicated to the service of nation. The greatest tribute I can think of paying Bhagat Ji is to take his vision towards realization.
I adopt his vision as my mission in life , to facilitate the realization of his dream of creating generations of future leaders, who would emerge from their educational plunge in this School to come out into the world, as better citizens of our great nation and of the world of tomorrow.
It is with this philanthropic spirit that we have drawn our educational goal to make LMA a kaleidoscope of tradition, culture, values, and ethnicity while at same time being a vanguard school in 21st-century education, where children can broaden their intellectual, physical and emotional horizons, where education tresspasses the traditional boundary set up by standard examination system, Where words in a struggling young mind, suddenly take shape and make sense and where the dream of children can fly unbounded while building a strong sense of integrity, compassion and generosity of spirit
In order to keep ourselves aligned with the changing trends in education across the world, we constantly look for ways to make learning interesting for all. It is proven that if we get interested in something, we can excel it. I firmly believe that each student is blessed with some unique talent and we as educationists are assigned the privileged task to discover and further nurture that talent. Once we discover that unique talent, each and every student can be an asset to our nation. My personal and professional goal is to motivate each student to learn and follow their passion, as whatever is learned through motivation of passion remains a permanent learning experience.
Our caring and committed teachers are our pillars of strength. Being able to put you in someone’s shoes and see things from their perspective can have such a powerful impact on our decisions and actions. Our teachers work on the same principle. They teach our children not just with their minds but with their hearts. They make learning enjoyable and rewarding, and imbibe in children the importance of sound values. Our excellent educational programmes are complemented by state-of-the art facilities and resources, and our focus on sports and co-curricular opportunities facilitates children’s holistic education and quintessentially marks the standards of quality education
The French scholar, Romain Rolland, wrote in 1929, “If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home…it is India.” I agree, and I like to believe the same about LMA. After all, what is a better place for dreams to find a home than a school?
I end this note with the hope and a prayer to revered Lord Mahavira to endow our students with mental alertness, physical strength and moral uprightness and at the same time to give me the strength and enthusiasm to be a steward of this great institution to continue and further improve the work that began years ago sancte et sapienter.
